{"id":24,"date":"2021-08-26T14:11:45","date_gmt":"2021-08-26T14:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wvfarmlandprotection.azurewebsites.net\/grant\/eligibility-requirements\/"},"modified":"2023-10-25T14:24:29","modified_gmt":"2023-10-25T14:24:29","slug":"eligibility-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wvfp.org\/grant\/eligibility-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Eligibility Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"cs-content\" class=\"cs-content\" >\n<div class=\"e24-1 x-section\" >\n      \n<div class=\"e24-2 x-row x-container max width\" >\n  <div class=\"x-row-inner\">\n    \n<div class=\"e24-3 x-col\" >\n    \n<div class=\"e24-4 x-text x-text-headline\" >\n  <div class=\"x-text-content\"><div class=\"x-text-content-text\"><h1 class=\"x-text-content-text-primary\">\nEligibility Requirements<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"e24-5 x-text\" >\n  <p>Property must meet the following minimum criteria in order to be considered for either a purchased or donated conservation easement:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n \t<li>\u00a0The property shall be located in Grant County .<\/li>\n \t<li>The property shall be land which meets one or more of the following criteria (\u00a7 8-24-75 , 2000)\n<ol>\n \t<li>used or usable for agriculture, horticulture or grazing (qualifying property)<\/li>\n \t<li>wetlands that are part of the qualifying property<\/li>\n \t<li>woodlands that are\n<ol>\n \t<li>part of or appurtenant to a qualifying property tract; or<\/li>\n \t<li>held by common ownership of a person or entity owning qualifying property<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>No commercial or industrial structure shall be located on the parcel. (\u00a7 8-24-80 (b), 2000)<\/li>\n \t<li>Clear title to the property must be established and the application must be signed by the property owner(s).<\/li>\n \t<li>The property shall not have any current or past uses that would render the establishment of a conservation easement inconsistent with the intent of the Act or this Program. Such determination shall be made by the Grant County after consideration of all facts and circumstances.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Additional program criteria must be met for acceptance of a donated easement.
